The Pollinators Foundation, The Share Project, and Marga Fripp Studio host a weekly community walk on Tuesdays at 4pm around pristine water and healing nature at Lake Junaluska. The walk is a beautiful opportunity to boost your health, happiness, and social connection.

The meeting point for walkers is The Labyrinth next to the Memorial Chapel. Invite a friend or bring your dog along for a happy walk. For questions contact Marga Fripp at margacfripp@gmail.com or text/call: 828-424-1398.

Please note: If 51% chance of rain, the event is canceled. During the winter, if temperatures are below 40 degrees, the walk is canceled.

🌷 Why Walk with Us?
In a time when the epidemic of isolation and loneliness is acute and mental health challenges severely impact our bodies, families, and collective lives, we must create intentional communities that move together in the way we are wired to move: as a pack, an interdependent community driven to sustain joy, good health, and meaningful connection.

🌹Walking Makes Us Happier
Research shows that walking boosts our happiness hormones (endorphins, dopamine, and serotonin). It elevates our mood and fights depression, increases our life-force energy, helps us process emotions, and improves our sleep. Walking in community reduces loneliness and improves mental health and well-being by connecting people with like-minded communities.

💓Walking Protects Your Heart, Memory, and Well-being
Scientific studies also show that walking offers a wide range of health benefits. Walking protects against cardiovascular illnesses and memory decline, lowers blood pressure and blood sugar, eases the pain in the joints, and prevents the loss of bone mass for those with osteoporosis. Join us to make friends, be happy, and feel enlivened!
